Bridging Buyers and Sellers in the Blockchain Environment

The Marketplace is an essential part of the ecosystem where assets are listed and traded. It offers flexibility to issuers who can define their assets using the Asset Manager dApp, create a Marketplace, and then list the digital security with Figure Securities broker dealer for trading.
The Marketplace offers a unique advantage for issuers who want to bring their assets to the market. Once a tokenized security is ready for trading, listing it on Marketplace is accomplished through Asset Manager. The platform is customizable, allowing issuers to tailor their listings based on specific requirements such as restricting access by investor characteristics or running periodically.
In the Marketplace, entities can bid on or offer on assets by connecting their passported wallets. This process requires entities to hold the asset they're offering or have fiat (tokenized USD) for bidding.
Creating a listing on the Marketplace is straightforward. After entering the listing details, number of shares for sale, and the listing price, issuers can sign the transaction, monitor bids, and accept or reject bids at their discretion. When a bid is accepted, the transaction is executed through the bilateral exchange smart contract, completing the transfer of the tokens to the buyer.
The Marketplace is composed of four tools that simplify the creation, listing, trading, and marketing of digital assets on Provenance Blockchain. Creating digital assets on Provenance Blockchain can be done with Asset Manager and Asset Origination API. Asset Manager provides a web interface to complete most functions related to onboarding assets, while Asset Origination API allows for originators to scale operations by developing integrations with an API layer.
An issuer or originator of an asset needs to define an asset using Asset Manager, create a marketplace using Figure Marketplace, and list the digital security with Figure Securities to be traded.
