Bringing Clarity and Control to Asset Management
Asset Manager provides a web interface to complete most functions related to onboarding assets, while Asset Origination API allows for originators to scale operations by developing integrations with an API layer.
The Asset Manager is a powerful tool designed to streamline the origination and lifecycle of digital assets in the Provenance Blockchain ecosystem. Acting as a command center, this dApp allows users to have total control over their assets, offering a comprehensive interface for navigating through various facets of asset management, with a focus on customizability and control. At its core, the Asset Manager dApp enables asset issuers to manage all their digital assets (individual assets like loans or receivables or security and non-security tokens) in one place, supporting a multitude of functions. Whether it's creating new assets, listing existing ones for trade, or tracking asset performance, the dApp provides a streamlined and intuitive approach for these critical tasks.
Provenance Blockchain is built in such a way to allow the asset originator to determine how much data exists on the chain. For example, when an entity puts a loan on the blockchain, the underlying data such as borrower details and deed do not go on chain. Instead, they sit in an encrypted data store. What goes on the chain is a unique, one way SHA-2 hash of that data. When the entity trades the loan, the buyer can confirm the data from the encrypted data store matches what the blockchain knows to be true. As such, Provenance Blockchain acts as registry, immutable history and data validation, but is not a golden data set.
Through Asset Manager, restrictions can be implemented on assets; for instance, one might stipulate that an asset cannot be traded without approval from a specified party, or that only accredited individuals are allowed to own a certain asset. Moreover, this utility enables the structuring of asset pools and the execution of securitizations with defined waterfall instructions and participations.
Asset Manager integrates seamlessly with other dApps, utilities, and services. This integration allows for a continuous flow of information across different functions, increasing efficiency and reducing the need for repetitive data entry.
What sets Asset Manager apart is its extensive suite of features, which include:
- Asset and Token Creation: Enables the creation of individual assets (NFTs), as well as security and non-security tokens.
- Securitization Capabilities: Asset Manager allows issuers to define securitization details, tranches, invite contributors, accept commitments, manage escrow accounts, and handle cap table management.
- Token Transfers: Supports token transfers via email and address.
- Bilateral Exchange: Users can create asks, accept bids, and indicate interest in tokens not yet listed for trade on an ATS or marketplace.
- Token Listing on Marketplace: Facilitates listing of all token types on the Marketplace, supporting both public and private listing. It also incorporates NDA support and manages permissions on both token types. The Asset Manager dApp aims to simplify and optimize the asset management process, transforming the way digital assets are managed on the Provenance Blockchain and opening the door for more institutions to engage in the digital asset space. By providing an efficient and user-friendly platform for asset management, Provenance Blockchain is helping to propel the digital financial market forward.
