Step-by-Step Guide for Governance Through the Figure Wallet
Prerequisites
- You need the amount of HASH tokens you will be delegating (each HASH token counts as one vote)
- ~3-5 HASH tokens for gas fees to vote
- The Figure wallet app installed on your device
Step 1: Download the Figure Wallet App
1a. For iOS users: Download from the App Store
1b. For Android users: Download from Google Play
- Install the application on your device
Step 2: Import Your Existing Wallet
- Open the Figure wallet app
- Select "Import Wallet" or "Restore Wallet" option
- Enter your seed phrase from your previous Figure wallet or Figure Markets wallet
- To find your Figure Markets wallet seed phrase, open your Figure Markets app, click “Manage Accounts”, then “View recovery phrase”
- Copy the phrase to paste into the Figure wallet mobile app
- Follow the prompts to complete the import process, and check to see if the HASH from your wallet has shown up
- If HASH tokens are not visible, close the app completely and reopen it
Step 3: Delegate Your HASH Tokens
- Before voting, you must delegate the HASH tokens you want to use for voting
- Tap on "More" in the bottom navigation bar
- Navigate to the "Staking" section in your wallet
- Click "Validators" to view the list of available validators
- Select a validator to delegate your HASH to (you can choose any validator)
- Enter the amount of HASH you want to delegate
- Remember: Each HASH token counts as one vote
- Confirm the delegation transaction
- Wait for landing page with notification of “Delegation Complete”
Step 4: Navigate to the Governance Proposals
- Tap on "More" button
- Navigate to "Governance Proposals"
- Select the most recent governance proposal, listed at the top
Step 5: Cast Your Vote
- After reviewing the proposal, select your voting option:
- "Yes"
- "No"
- "No with Veto"
- "Abstain"
- Confirm your voting decision
Step 6: Verify Your Vote
- Wait for the "VOTE COMPLETE" screen to appear
- Return to the proposal page to verify your vote has been recorded
- Your vote status should now show as "Voted" with your selected option
Step 7: Track the Proposal Outcome
- You can return to the Governance section anytime to check:
- Current voting results
- Time remaining for voting
- Final outcome after the voting period closes
Additional Information
- Your vote is recorded on the blockchain and cannot typically be changed once submitted
- Voting may require a small transaction fee depending on the blockchain
- Some proposals may have a minimum voting power requirement to participate
